Commitment Ceremonies
Commitment ceremonies are available to couples who wish to make a special promise to each other and wish to publicly declare their commitment in front of family and friends.
Holding a commitment ceremony can be a deeply meaningful, empowering and personally satisfying way to acknowledge and celebrate the significance and permanence of your union.
Your commitment ceremony includes:
- A professional, reliable and sincere celebrant who is sensitive to your needs.
- Complete planning of your personalised ceremony.
- An optional rehearsal at your chosen venue.
- A Certificate of Commitment in a leathergrained folder.
- A commemorative copy of your ceremony.
- Appreciation certificates for any ceremonial participants e.g. readers, ring bearers.
- Use of a PA system, including a CD player.
Although not legally recognised in Australia, a commitment ceremony can, in all other general respects, resemble a traditional marriage ceremony and will be designed to suit your own particular needs and ideas.
I will provide you with an extensive resource of sample readings, poems and ceremonies to help guide and inspire you, plus ideas for symbolic rituals and extras you may wish to include to make your ceremony unique.
I will work with you to create a ceremony that reflects your love and aspirations as a couple and welcome your ideas and creative suggestions.
As a part of my service, I can register you with the International Committed Couples Register (ICCR). You can have your commitment registered by purchasing a commitment ceremony certificate from ICCR.
