Renewal of Vows
Renewal of Vows celebrate the personal story of a couple’s love and their commitment to see each other through the rest of life’s journey.
It is an expression of love for each other or a remembrance of times past and a renewal of hopes for the future.
Your Renewal of Vows ceremony includes:
- A reliable and professional celebrant, well prepared to present your ceremony with sincerity and warmth.
- Complete planning of your personalised ceremony.
- A rehearsal at your chosen venue (if required).
- A commemorative copy of the ceremony.
- A certificate of Renewal of Vows.
- Optional appreciation certificates for any ceremonial participants e.g. readers, ringbearers.
- Use of a PA system, including a CD player.
Renewal of vows can be celebrated for many reasons:
- significant wedding anniversary
- a landmark birthday
- re-enactment of a marriage ceremony with family and friends who were not able to attend the original wedding
- celebrated when a particularly difficult patch in a marriage has passed
- to rekindle the marriage commitment.
Whatever the reason, I will work with you to create a unique ceremony you will cherish.
I will provide you with a variety of readings and ideas to help inspire you. You may ask those close to you to contribute, by sharing their stories and memories, giving readings, or reciting poems they have written especially for the occasion. If appropriate, your children or grandchildren can take a special part in the celebration as well.
If you wish to exchange gifts or eternity rings, this can be incorporated into the ceremony.
Renewing your vows is a wonderful way to look back over the years you've shared with each other, honouring and celebrating the good times and the challenges, key milestones and events. It is a lovely way to give thanks to each other and to those nearest and dearest, as you make your vows and wishes for the years you've yet to share.
You will be given a special certificate to mark the occasion and a commemorative copy of the ceremony.
There are no legal requirements for a renewal of vows, so no birth or marriage certificates are required.
